Hi all,

currently, I try to understand all the energy saving options in order to use them efficiently. Until now, I found 5+1 settings concerning battery life with overlapping features. Can you help me to fill the following overview, please?

  • Settings --> Battery --> More options (three vertical dots) --> Battery optimization
    • Doze mode (Android default, without discussion)
  • Settings --> Battery --> Energy saving mode
    • Android default, isn't it?
    • Managing vibration, background data, display, CPU frequency
    • automatically activatable when battery level is below 5% or 15%
  • Settings --> Battery saving mode / Battery profiles*
    • no Android default, is it?
    • Managing vibration, background data, display, CPU frequency, Bluetooth, WLAN, GPS, etc.
    • automatically activatable when battery level is below x% or via time schedule
  • Settings --> Background app cleaner*
    • How is the proper English translation for it?
    • no Android default, is it?
    • whitelist for apps running in the background, otherwise close apps if the screen is off
  • Settings --> DuraSpeed
    • no Android default, app from the CPU vendor MediaTek
    • exactly the same as the "Background app cleaner"?
  • Bonus: Settings --> Data --> Data saving
    • Android default
    • primarily for limiting background data of particular apps and, thus, limiting the runtime in background

*The entire section "Intelligent Assistant" is no Android default, right?

    Thanks for you help!
