Is Unihertz smartphone compatible with major US carriers?

For AT&T users:

AT&T released a whitelist of smartphone brands that will continue to work on their network after February 2022. Unfortunately, Unihertz products are not among them.

If you are using Unihertz smartphones (Except Jelly 2) on the AT&T network, it may not work normally. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, though this has resulted from the carrier's policy change.

Please follow these steps to clear cache before searching for the update again:

How to erase my personal data/ factory reset my phone?

Reset to Factory Settings (When your phone can be turned on)

Settings ->System ->Reset Options ->Erase all data (factory reset)

Power off your phone -> Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons -> After your phone vibrates, keep holding the buttons for 5 seconds to enter Recovery mode -> Press the Volume up and down buttons to select the option to clear data or restore your device to its factory settings -> then press the Power button to confirm -> Reboot your phone.

How can I unlock my phone if I forgot my PIN or password?

If you have forgotten your phone password and want to unlock it, you will have to restore your device to its factory settings. Then you can set it up again and set a new screen lock.

However, all data on your phone will be erased and cannot be restored. It is recommended that you confirm whether you have backed up your phone data on the cloud or by other means. It is also recommended that you confirm whether you or someone else has changed the PIN/password. If you still cannot recall the password, refer to last Question to restore your device.

How many keyboard languages does Titan and Titan Pocket support?

English, English(UK), German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Dutch, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese(Zhuyin, Cangjie, Quick input).

For the keyboard input of other languages, we may consider adding them in the future if we receive enough demands.

On the other hand, Android system supports a wide range of languages, with which you will be able to turn on touch screen input as a supplement.

Why I can hear others but they can't hear me?

1. Go to Sound Recorder app and run a recording test.

2. Check whether your SIM card works well on the other phone.

Why others can hear me but I can't hear them?

1. Please check if this only happened to some or all of friends you called.

2. Stay in the same location and insert your SIM card into another Android phone and the same issue arises.

3. Turn on call record in the call interface to record a call, then check whether the sound recorded is normal.

Why my battery runs out so quickly?

1. Please send us a full screenshot of your battery usage in Settings ->battery ->battery usage.

2. Follow these steps to capture the battery log and send it to service@unihertz.com for further analysis.

REPAIR AND WARRANTY

When returning the phone back for analysis, do I have to send the accessories (such as charger and cable) back?

For repair, please send without the accessories.

For replacement or refund, please send with accessories in one package.

Is broken glass issue covered by warranty? Can I replace the screen by myself?

The broken glass is not covered by warranty.

Please send the smartphone back to us after negotiating with service@unihertz.com as we do not provide phone screen separately. Repair or replacement fee may apply.

Is my replaced phone covered by warrranty?

The repaired/ replaced device will get extra 90 days warranty or the remaining original warranty period, whichever is longer.

Great phone.

I love this phone the responsiveness of the screen is great. The video and photo quality is good. But it is a bit annoying that I have to choose between charging the phone and listening to music.

Rugged prepper phone

The Unihertz TickTock Android phone is a near-lookalike of the DooGee S98 rugged phone but costs much less. I don't know how the companies are related. The phone has a novel design and is delivered with a silicone protector sleeve, a screen protector, a USB-C to 3.5mm jack audio adapter, a USB-C fast charger (full charge about 5 hours) moderately ruggedized and a quickstart leaflet. It has two two programmable hardware buttons in addition to the usual on/off and volume buttons, programmed by default as flashlight and auxiliary screen switch.
The first most original feature of the phone is its weight: 339g with protector (compare with 190g for a Samsung Galaxy 9 with protector). The phone is much heavier than the usual smartphone because of a long-life fast-charge battery: mine arrived 2 days ago, and, in spite of heavy use copying apps and data from a Samsung phone (which went very smoothly), organising the start pages and messaging, it still has about 50% charge.
The second most original feature of the phone is the 'smartwatch' on the back, with a choice of clock-faces, step counter, compass, bubble level.
I don't have long-term experience with the phone, The build feels solid, operation is smooth and fast and all functions are expected. There is no manufacturer's bloatware, but a number of useful tools are provided. A minimal quick start guide is included, but a very detailed 114 page manual is available via a Google docs link on the Unihertz site (search for "Unihertz TickTock Manual").
The phone will be very useful on long trips, with no need to charge for several days. One might call it a "prepper's delight" for use in emergencies with electricity outage. For these purposes definitely recommended.

Lean Android phone - need some override on privacy controls

Good phone.. certainly better than bloatware rich main stream device makers. The team can still open up on more stringent privacy controls. Back ground data disable on some system tasks makes the device to enforce factory reset. This must be fixed.
Works well on all 3 major carriers on 5G and lower well (tested working on FMVOs as well)
